Starfox
From the World of Lylat
Starfox and Starwars are by far the source of some of the best games ever made. This site will eventually have articals on each, with game reviews and lists of site links for fans....but that is in the works as of now....
Starfox
Starfox is one of Nintendo's most popular titles, right along with Mario and Zelda...
Starfox is based in the SI-FI Lylat system, where Fox (the hero) and his wingmates peppy, slippy, falco and Krystal. They fight Andross.for the cornerian Army, whch is admtttedly curious, because while Starfox has only 4 fighters, the Cornerian army has thousands, and the Army is the one who gets whooped......
Starfox has changed many times over the years, starting with the first version, Starfox. this game was made for the Super Nintendo, and boasted the destiction of being the first game on a majior console system to have 3d graphics. This was made possible by the Super FX chip, wich helped the CPU of the snes calculate what to draw. SFX is a primitive game by today's standerds, almost totally lacking in textures (patterns on 3d modles that are ont solid color), and could only have a few objects on screen before bogging down. the designers tried to get around this by keeping most of the enemies very simple, and even the Arwing, the ship that you fly, was unremarkable. but despite all of that, this game is probibly one of the gratest plays of all time.
Starfox 64 was the next installment in the series, and although it did not get a first in the graphice dept., it was the first game to use the rumble pack, an extension for the Nintendo 64 controller that allowed the player to "feel" the game, this feature was so popular that all newer consoles have it. the graphics where Far superior to the origanal, and the gameplay utilized the N64's thumbstick, giving more realistic controls (and sore thums) to gamers, the sound had been impoved as well, featuring full voice audio and high quality music. the game is an almost-remake, with certain changes to the storyline. This game also introduced multiplayer to the Starfox.
